The local artisan cheeses, made with milk from cows, goats, and sheep grazing in natural surroundings, are well-known. Particularly renowned are the Tupí, Serrat d'ovella, matured cow's milk, goat's milk, and cotage cheeses, each with a distinctive texture, flavor, and intensity. They can be found in cheese factories and shops in Berga, la Quar, Borredà, Sagàs, Avià, Gironella, and Castellar de n'Hug.
