The Interreg-Med InCircle project aims to improve the sustainability and attractiveness of insular and low-density MED tourist areas through circular tourism, preserving natural resources and improving the quality of life of residents and tourists.

Berguedà has participated together with eleven MED territories in this project from where they have worked and developed strategies aimed at the transition towards a more circular tourism.

As a replicating territory, this summer Berguedà implements a pilot action based on the reduction of single-use waste from the picnic services served from various accommodations that have joined the initiative. This action aims to speed up the change towards a more sustainable region and move towards the common goal of increasing circularity and reducing waste.
