You can discover Berguedà in many ways, but without a doubt, the best way to penetrate its landscapes is on foot. The ancient traditional paths, most of them of medieval origin, invite the hiker to travel through time; a leisurely, quiet journey, a journey to evoke, for example, the Cathar exile of the "good men". The horseshoe paths still remember the proud passing of the knight and troubadour Guillem de Berguedà, or the silent walks of Ramon Vila, the maquis known as Caracremada, or the light passage of the reapers who crossed the imposing Cadi through the passage of the Gosolans. On foot one can rediscover the tempo of things, the rhythms of nature.
In addition to roads and specialized companies in guidance, Berguedà has a large network of signposted routes.
This historic road network covers about 2,000 km which unite the various villages of Berguedà. The network is signed in yellow marks. But keep in mind! Before you venture in, ask the tourist offices for up-to-date information as some small stretches of the network are still not perfectly conditioned or marked.
