SALOMON ULTRA PIRINEU 100k® is the queen race, which gives the name to the event: SALOMON ULTRA PIRINEU®.

With 100 km of distance and 6.600m of positive elevation, it crosses through the most emblematic and spectacular high mountain sections of the Parc Natural del Cadí Moixeró, making it one of the most demanding and international races in the country, bringing together every year participants from more than 50 countries.

 HOW TO GET AID STATIONS AND TIME TO GO WITH PRIVATE CAR

 

Bagà to U-1 Refugi de Rebost:

From Bagà, go to Coll de Pal road and drive until km. 19, there are a Car park area. Walk down the road until km. 13 where, on the right side, you will find the path to Rebost. (Fifteen minutes).

On Coll de Pal road will be intermittent traffic cuts, between 5:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.due to the crossing of the runners at km 12.5.. Park anywhere on the roadside is strictly forbidden.

Distance: 19 km.        Time: 20’

 

Bagà to U-2 Niu d’Aliga:

Leave Bagà in north direction to Puigcerdà (must cross the Cadí tunnel, price: € 12.00). Once past the tunnel, continue towards Puigcerdà. Once passed Alp, will find the turnoff to La Molina, by GIV-4082 road.  The way is well indicated.  You will access directly to La Molina Car park 1, where the cable car is.

The price for UP followers with a vàlid ticket from the ULTRA BUS  will be € 8 and the ride takes 15 '. From the cable car station, you must walk 15 ' to Niu d’Aliga shelter.

Distance: 28 km.        Time: 1h. 10'min.

 

U-2 Niu d’Aliga to U-3 Serrat de les Esposes

Return to La Molina and exit towards Alp. At the junction with E9 road, turn left in the direction to Túnel del Cadí-Barcelona. Before de Tunnel, you should enter to the Service Area and, from the parking lot, take  the road towards Riu de Cerdanya (3 ') cross the town and go straight on the track that goes up to the shelter of Serrat de les Esposes (20')

You will find the Mossos d’esquadra and / or civil protection in Riu de Cerdanya, since circulation of vehicles to Serrat de las Esposes will be controlled, in order to avoid traffic jams.

Distance:   15 km.      Time: 35’

 

U-3 Serrat de les Esposes to U-4 Cortals de Ingla

Closed road to Cortals. Therefore, from Serrat you must walk about 4 km., following the wide track or the orange marks from “Cavalls del Vent”.

 

U-2 Niu d’Aliga to U-5 Prat d’Aguiló

Return to La Molina and exit towards Alp. At the junction with E9 road, turn left in the direction to Túnel del Cadí-Andorra. Follow this road until Martinet. On leaving the village, on the left, you will find the turnoff to Estana.

There you will find a marked parking lot. To reach the shelter must walk up to approx. 10 km

U-2 Niu d’Aliga to U-6 Gósol

Return to La Molina and exit towards Alp, at the junction with E9 road, turn left towards Túnel del Cadí-Barcelona

Cross the tunnel (€ 12.00) and continue on the C-16 until Guardiola de Berguedà. After the town, before a small tunnel you will find the turnoff to Saldes-Gósol by the B-400 road. Continue to Gósol, there is a marked parking lot.

IMPORTANT INFO: Runner’s assistance crew (one per runner and only for UP) are identified with a wristband that allows the entry inside the aid station of Gósol, but DOES’NT allow entry by car through closed roads. Assistance crews wishing to access an aid station closed to traffic must park in enabled parking and get there on foot.

 U-6 Gósol to U-7 Saldes

Leave Gósol by B-400 road towards Saldes (10 '). In the village, there are marked parking lots. From main town square, take the free shuttle 

ULTRA BUS that will take you to the Mirador del Pedraforca. From there, walk up to Lluís Estasen Shelter (5 ').

Shuttle timetable

Saldes to Mirador del Pedraforca from 12:00h to 22:00 h. on Saturday.

Mirador del Pedraforca road will be cut off to traffic from 12:00 am to 21:00 pm. for safety reasons. The only access will be with the shuttle bus.

Distance: 9 km.          Time: 20 ' until the car park.

 

U-7 Saldes to U-9 Vents del Cadí

Leave Saldes going to Guardiola de Berguedà on the B-400 road, when you reach the junction with the C-16 road, turn left towards Bagà. Enter to Bagà through the second entrance and turn left. At the roundabout, take the second exit and go straight, at the end of this street, turn rigth and drive straight until the bottom of the street. There is the road to Vents del Cadí shelter.

Access will be open to private vehicles until the Vents del Cadi parking lot is full. It is recommended to access with the ULTRA BUS.

Distance: 22 km.        Time:  30’

 

U-9 Vents del Cadí to U-10 Sant Jordi

The only access to Sant Jordi is walking up by Empedrats track.  (4km. Approx.)
