From Montmajor to Espunyola

Large areas of strongly rural economy can still be found in various areas of lower Berguedà. As in the vicinity of Sagàs and La Quar, or further south, towards the surroundings of Biure. Or also, in the surroundings of Montmajor, Montclar and Espunyola.

Almost on the border with El Solsonès, this area of Berguedà offers landscapes of pine and holm oak forests, among fields, farms and numerous country houses. Life is mainly rural and even some towns - such as Espunyola - do not have an urban nucleus as such, but their approximately 250 inhabitants are completely dispersed between small groups of farmhouses and several scattered houses.
